Diocesan provision of counselling: The formal counselling service is rarely used. Reliance is placed on informal support networks. Attempts to set up cell groups/individual mentoring have not been encouraged. There is no formal adviser. Clergy who cannot afford to pay full fees for therapy can be anonymously subsidised from the bishop’s discretionary fund. The service is available for clergy/families, readers and lay employees of the diocese.
